Gregory J. Vadnais

Mr. Vadnais is an integral member of the Paxton family. However, in December of 2010 he was appointed by the Snyder administration to head the Department of Military and Veteran's Affairs for the State of Michigan. Mr. Vadnais is a retired Major General from the Army National Guard and commanded the 38th Infantry Division. Mr. Vadnais has over 34 years of experience in the exploration and production industry with a B.S. degree from Central Michigan University (1973) and is a graduate of the United States Army War College (1996). Land Manager Dart Oil & Gas Corporation, Executive Vice President Smith Petroleum Company, President and owner of Vadnais Energy Corporation. He has held several executive level positions within the Michigan Oil and Gas industry, and sat on numerous boards in both the civilian and military sectors. He has extensive experience in the acquisition of domestic oil and gas producing properties and development operations. We look forward to Mr. Vadnais return to the industry upon the conclusion of his service to the State of Michigan.

Scott D. Lampert (Owner)

Mr. Lampert is a founder-owner of the Company and a Petroleum Engineer. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri (Rolla, 1983) and has been actively involved in the industry since 1980. With 30 years of experience in Oil and Gas exploration and development, Mr. Lampert oversees operations in order to ensure optimum recovery of reserves. By identifying new business opportunities, potential business partners/investors, financing new projects, and managing an aggressive growth strategy, Mr. Lampert has been successful in leading Paxton Resources toward continued growth while meeting the challenges of the energy exploration industry.

Mr. Lampert is on the Michigan Oil and Gas board of directors, and 4 is Vice-Chairman of the Michigan Oil and Gas Association (MOGA) in 2011. Voted businessman of the year 2004 (Gaylord Chamber of Commerce), Mr. Lampert also serves as Vice-Chairman of the Otsego Memorial Hospital Foundation board, and Vice-Chair of the University Center board as well as the Gaylord Sportsplex board. In 2010 Scott, and his wife Janice received the Presidents Award from the Gaylord Chamber of Commerce.

Paxton Memebers:


Mark Bailey Sr. (Operations Manager) – Mr. Bailey oversees the design and implementation of each of our wellsites and facilities. He works closely with each of our contract companies, landowners, surveyors, State and local officials in order to ensure that our operations are conducted on time and in compliance with DEQ regulations.


Becky Farmer – Becky addresses the myriad issues relating to land leases and title curative. Her responsibilities as division order analyst and in-house landman are essential in helping maintain a cohesive picture of our rights and responsibilities with regard to our contracts and agreements with various partners and landowners.

Gregory J. Vadnais Jr. – Aside from negotiating and obtaining Oil and Gas leases in the field, Mr. Vadnais is also directly involved in permitting, mapping, negotiating right-of-way easements, surface-use agreements, and addressing any other issues that may arise in the field. He is available to meet personally with anyone who has questions or concerns relating to Paxton's operations.


Kevin Reynolds – Kevin is the chief accountant at Paxton Resources. His job may be the most important of all, balancing the books. He is also responsible for setting up direct-to-deposit accounts for our royalty owners.

Chuck Simpson – Chuck works closely with Kevin in issuing payments to our contractors and landowners. His attention to detail in the billing department is crucial as Paxton continues to develop new projects, and manage our existing obligations.
